As a writer and publisher, apart from Le Lien, His Beatitude is known for Al Rabita in Arabic, the Message de Galilée in French, and above all for Pages d'Évangile 
lues en Galilée, translated into several languages. 

As for his activities as Patriarch since 1968, Le Lien has made it a duty to relate them as they happen. 
 

Brief  biography:

His Beatitude was born at Tanta in Egypt, 18th May 1908 
He was ordained priest after completing his studies at St. Anne of Jerusalem, in the Basilica of St. Anne itself, by Maximos IV Sayegh, then Archbishop of Tyre, on July 20,1930.
He was consecrated Archbishop of St. John of Acre, Haifa, Nazareth and all Galilee, in Cairo on June 13, 1943, by H.B. Cyril IX Moghabghab, assisted by the Archbishops Dionysios Kfoury and Peter Kamel Medawar, patriarchal auxiliaries.
Finally, he was elected Patriarch by the Holy Synod at Ain Traz on November 22, 1967.

Principal activities of his priesthood: 
As a priest, he distinguished himself by his running of the Patriarchal College in Cairo, and by the launching and publication of the review Le Lien. 
Principal activities as  Archbishop:
Later as Archbishop he built schools, a junior seminary, an orphanage, a home for the elderly and several churches He took particular care for the clergy and for the religious and secular orders and he brought in several groups of Europeans come to integrate themselves into our Church.

During the mass exodus of the Palestinian people towards Lebanon in 1948, he was one of the first to concern himself with the refugees. He helped them to get themselves organized until the American Red Cross and the United Nations took on the responsibility.

He opened a reception center which sheltered about two hundred children of all confessions, for Bishop Hakim made no distinction between different religions or Christian communities.
