We,
the Catholic Patriarchs of the East, are reunited for our seventh convention,
at the Patriarchal Catholic Coptic Seat in Alexandria - Egypt (from 19
to 25 October 1997), to reflect in a spirit of brotherly communion, on
moral problems that are arising in the East for all Christians and Moslems.
Following
up the work of our previous conventions, in answer to your calls and in
the light of your teachings, the context of this theme is for the preparation
for the great Jubilee of the year 2000.
Your
Holiness, we take this opportunity to assure you of our full communion
with the Holy See.
