It is composed of bishops representing patriarchs of churches of Lebanon and bishop leaders of communities who do not have patriarchs residing in Lebanon.

Other bishops designated by the Assembly could join those mentioned above.

The Executive Council is presided  by a representative of the Maronite Patriarch.

- To execute decisions taken by the Assembly.
- To assure the continuity of its pastoral work.
- To promote and coordinate with the Episcopal Commissions.
- To attend to urgent affairs and express on their behalf the Council 's point of view
- To arrange sessions and meetings of the Assembly.
