The Council of Presidency is formed of Catholic Church Patriarchs who reside in Lebanon. The Maronite Patriarch is a permanent President of the Assembly.

• His Beatitude, the Patriarch Nasrallah Boutros Cardinal SFEIR, Patriarch of Antioch and all the East.
• His Beatitude, the Patriarch Gregorius III LAHHAM, Patriarch of Antioch and all the East, Alexandria and Jerusalem for Greek Catholic Melkites.
• His Beatitude, the Patriarch Ignace Moussa I DAOUD, Patriarch of Antioch and all the East for Syrian Catholics.
• His Beatitude, the Patriarch Nersès Bédros XIX,Patriarch of Cilicia for Catholic Armenians.
 
The role of this Council is to:
 
• Process decisions in serious and urgent cases for the Assembly.
• Make decisions on queries that the Assembly puts forth to the Council.
• To observe the strict rules of all the bodies of the Assembly.
